Learn about our impactGreen Engineering Officially Listed on the Lloyd’s Register for Independent Connection Providers

Green Engineering is proud to announce its successful registration on the Lloyd’s Register of Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) — a key milestone that reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and technically excellent high-voltage connections across the UK.
As an Independent Connection Provider, Green Engineering is authorised to design, construct, and commission new electrical connections to the distribution network — including those at 33kV, 132kV, and up to 400kV — without relying solely on Distribution Network Operators (DNOs). This recognition by Lloyd’s Register formally confirms that Green Engineering meets the stringent national standards required for quality, safety, and technical competency in connection work.
Operating as a trusted substation contractor and EHV infrastructure specialist, Green Engineering provides a full end-to-end service — from cable route design and civil engineering through to commissioning and energisation. Being listed on the Lloyd’s Register demonstrates that all work undertaken by the company complies fully with ENA G81 design and construction standards, G99 grid connection regulations, and Grid Code requirements.
“This accreditation is more than a certificate — it’s a statement of capability,” said a Green Engineering spokesperson. “Our inclusion on the Lloyd’s Register confirms that we deliver every connection to the same rigorous standard as the UK’s DNOs. It gives clients confidence that their projects are handled by an organisation with proven technical expertise, robust safety systems, and a track record of performance at the highest voltage levels.”
By combining independent capability with uncompromising quality, Green Engineering continues to strengthen its position as a leading force in the UK’s transition to a modern, resilient, and low-carbon power network.
