Green Engineering: Proud to Be on the Lloyd’s Register for Independent Connection Providers

Green Engineering (GE) is pleased to highlight our continued position on the Lloyd’s Register for Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) — a key accreditation that reinforces our commitment to quality, safety, and full utility-standard compliance across all grid-connection works.

As an accredited ICP, GE is qualified to design, manage, and deliver contestable works up to 400kV, supporting developers, asset owners and network operators across the UK. This includes:

  • EHV, 400kV, 132kV, 33kV & 11kV systems

  • Primary & secondary engineering

  • Substation design & build

  • Cable routing and earthing design

  • Protection & control

  • Utility compliance management for DNO/TSO adoption

Being part of the Lloyd’s Register means our processes, engineering standards, and safety systems have been rigorously assessed and approved. It demonstrates that GE consistently meets the technical, operational, and governance requirements needed to work on distribution and transmission networks nationwide.

For our clients, this offers tangible benefits:

  • Full confidence that all contestable works meet DNO/IDNO adoption standards

  • Access to a multi-discipline engineering team with deep experience in EHV grid-connection projects

  • Efficient project delivery from feasibility through to energisation

  • Clear, coordinated communication with network operators throughout the approval process

At Green Engineering, we take pride in delivering sustainable engineering solutions that stand up to the highest levels of scrutiny. Our Lloyd’s Register ICP accreditation is a testament to the strength of our systems and the capability of our engineering teams.

As the UK continues to expand renewable generation, storage, and electrification infrastructure, GE remains committed to providing trusted, compliant, and forward-thinking grid-connection expertise.
